*Would you take off your armor or put down your sword for any reason?
-Well, you do have an enemy who is hunting you.  Satan wants to harm you and cause you to fail.  He wants our family to fall.  But Heavenly Father has promised us protection if we "put on the whole armor of God."

Read: Ephesians 6
As you read, have the girls color the pieces of armor listed in the scripture  The Armor of God (Print the boy version for Sam).
*How do we put on the whole armor of God?
-When we fight, say unkind things, and think only of ourselves, it's like we are taking off the armor of God.  We're making ourselves and each other vulnerable to the fiery darts that Satan.  This home is our fortress.  We have to defend it with everything we have.  We can't take off our own armor.  And if we see someone letting Satan in to our fortress, we need to respond with love and kindness.  That is the only way to keep our fortress safe.
*What are some ways you can help keep our enemy from getting into our home?
*How can you remind yourself of the need to be loving when you feel angry?

-Spanish:
Since we are talking about different languages, I thought it would be fun to start our study of Spanish.  Dad is speaking Spanish a lot these days in Guatemala.  Wouldn't it be fun to talk to Dad in Spanish.  Spanish is a fun language to learn because the sound of the letters doesn't change in different situations.  We might say 'e' as in "eat" or as in "red." Since the sounds the letters make are constantly the same, it makes it easy to sound words out, unlike English.  Let's start with the alphabet.  Do the Alphabet flash cards then the Bouncing Letter game.  Spanish Alphabet

-History--Noah and The Flood
Lesson Plan:
*What happened after Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden?  (They had lots of children and grandchildren, some of whom were very wicked.  They learned to till the Earth and take care of their family.  They learned to worship the Lord through sacrifices.)

Because so many of God's children were choosing wickedness, He decided to call a prophet to help them.  His name was Noah.

LDS Primary Lesson
Do Enrichment Activity #2

Everything Heavenly Father does is to bring the greatest number of his children home to Him.  Though the flood killed many people, it probably saved many souls.  Some people don't believe the Flood happened.  They think it is nothing more than a story or myth.  But nearly every culture has a myth about a God being upset and cleansing the earth by flood.  This is evidence that the flood happened.  It is impossible to know exactly when the Flood happened, but we know Noah was a real prophet and did as God commanded him.

-History: The Garden of Eden and The Fall

Lesson Plan:
Let's review The Creation: Creation Review Video
*What happened during the 6th period of the Creation? (God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden)
*What do you imagine the Garden of Eden was like?
*What were the commandments God gave Adam and Eve when he placed them in the Garden of Eden? (Multiply and replenish the earth, Don't eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Stay together!)
*Did Adam and Eve obey the Lord's commands?  What commandment did they break?  Why?
Let's read: Moses 4Genesis 2-3 (select verses)
*What happened to Adam and Eve because they ate the fruit?  (They were cast out of the Garden of Eden, they would sin because they knew good from evil, they would die.)
The scriptures tell us that this was a good thing.
2 Nephi 2:19
They needed to Fall so that they could have children.  Because they partook of the fruit, as Heavenly Father knew they would, we were able to be born, to have a physical body, to go through the trials of finding food and raising children ourselves, and learning to choose right from wrong.  These things brought them happiness even though they were hard.

We call what Adam and Eve did "The Fall" because they fell out of the presence of the Lord.  Here is a video that illustrates this: The Fall Brought us a Savior Video

Here is a good way to remember what "The Fall" means.  This is an illustration given by President Joseph Fielding Smith (summarize if needed):
"The Son of God [said]: “I’ll go down and pay the price. I’ll be the Redeemer and redeem men from Adam’s transgression. I’ll take upon me the sins of the world and redeem or save every soul from his own sins who will repent.”12

Let us illustrate: A man walking along the road happens to fall into a pit so deep and dark that he cannot climb to the surface and regain his freedom. How can he save himself from his predicament? Not by any exertions on his own part, for there is no means of escape in the pit. He calls for help, and some kindly disposed soul, hearing his cries for relief, hastens to his assistance and by lowering a ladder, gives to him the means by which he may climb again to the surface of the earth. This was precisely the condition that Adam placed himself and his posterity in, when he partook of the forbidden fruit. All being together in the pit, none could gain the surface and relieve the others. The pit was banishment from the presence of the Lord and temporal death, the dissolution of the body. And all being subject to death, none could provide the means of escape.13

The Savior comes along, not subject to that pit, and lowers the ladder. He comes down into the pit and makes it possible for us to use the ladder to escape.14

In his infinite mercy, the Father heard the cries of his children and sent his Only Begotten Son, who was not subject to death nor to sin, to provide the means of escape. This he did through his infinite atonement and the everlasting gospel."15
When Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden, it was the start of human history on the Earth.  We praise Adam and Eve for their part in Heavenly Father's Plan of Salvation.  We needed them to fall for the plan to work for us.

Color a picture of Adam and Eve leaving the Garden of Eden and put it on our timeline.
